The Buck Creek Mitigation Bank is in rural Walker County, Alabama, within the HUC 8 service area of the Mulberry Fork watershed. The Buck Creek property has been historically impacted by agricultural and vegetative clearing. Mitigation Resources has restored a former degraded site to a healthy and functioning ecosystem through riparian buffer enhancement and stream restoration. The Bank provides both stream and wetland compensatory mitigation to offset impacts associated with the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) mitigation requirements.
