Zachary Mitchell works as an environmental specialist for Mitigation Resources of North America. He previously worked as a Forest Ranger for the Mississippi Forestry Commission, where he assisted landowners with forestry management practices and maintaining public lands.
Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Science at Mississippi State University, and previously worked as an intern for our team, where he assisted with maintenance, monitoring, and construction of mitigation sites in Mississippi and Alabama.
In his current role, he monitors and maintains mitigation sites and assists in data collection, tree planning, invasive species control and other restoration activities.
“My favorite part of the job is being able to work outdoors and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature,” he said. He spends his free time at Noxubee National Wildlife Refuge, where he kayaks and fishes.
