Ryan Szuch

Permit Specialist

Ryan Szuch, Permit Specialist, joined the Mitigation Resources of North America team in 2023. Bringing 23 years of experience in the natural resources industry, he works with the regulatory management of stream and wetland mitigation projects throughout the Southeast and Appalachia. Ryan’s past experience includes work for state and federal conservation agencies, as well as environmental consulting firms, where he performed land conservation, forest management, environmental impact assessment, and ecological restoration.

In his role, Ryan analyzes baseline and monitoring data, performs geospatial analysis, and prepares mitigation banking instruments and monitoring reports for stream and wetland restoration projects.

Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystems Analysis from Susquehanna University and a Master of Science in Soil Science from North Carolina State University. He also holds a graduate diploma in Natural Resources from University of New England (Australia) and a professional certificate in Sustainable Business from Cornell University.

Ryan and his wife live in south-central Pennsylvania with four rescue dogs. They spend time volunteering as Trail Stewards for the York County Parks Department and the Leg Up Farm, assisting with therapeutic horseback-riding lessons for children with special needs.
