Project Engineer Dustin Fitzgerald joined our team in 2021, after working in the coal industry for six years. There, he gained experience in engineering, construction, and environmental, as he designed and managed ponds, roads, and other projects at the mine site.
As Project Engineer, Dustin is responsible for various aspects of projects, including engineering, construction, and permitting, with a focus on stream design and construction.
Dustin is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
His experience in the hydrology and hydraulic side of the mining industry helped him as he transitioned into mitigation work. “I enjoy working and designing for water flow in any form so naturally, I enjoy stream and wetland construction and design with mitigation work,” he said.
In his free time, Dustin spends most of his time with his wife and two kids, outdoors playing sports, or being involved with church.
